Meet Dr. Sean P. Meyer

Dr. Sean P. Meyer is a seasoned counselor and vocational and disability consultant who supports adults facing mental health challenges and disability-related concerns. His focus is on helping clients develop practical strategies, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal and professional growth.

 

Through a combination of therapeutic approaches and hands-on guidance, Dr. Meyer helps clients enhance well-being, navigate life transitions, and pursue careers that align with their strengths. He is committed to promoting mental health awareness and fostering inclusive work environments.

Dr. Meyer's Story

Dr. Sean P. Meyer’s path to becoming a mental health counselor and vocational and disability consultant began with a deep interest in psychology and a strong desire to help others navigate life’s challenges. He earned advanced degrees in psychology, counseling, and disability-focused studies, building a solid foundation in therapeutic principles and vocational rehabilitation. Hands-on experiential training and fieldwork allowed him to develop essential skills in empathy, active listening, and assessment, while specialized vocational rehabilitation training equipped him to guide individuals with disabilities toward greater independence and meaningful employment.

 

Before entering the mental health field, Dr. Meyer served with distinction as a senior non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. Following his retirement, he transitioned to clinical work across a variety of behavioral health settings, including community mental health and on-site employee assistance programs.

 

Dr. Meyer’s clinical interests include supporting adults with disability-related challenges, addressing the mental health needs of sexual and gender minority clients (LGBTQ+), and helping individuals overcome the often debilitating symptoms of anxiety and depression. His dedication to promoting mental wellness, independence, and empowerment continues to shape his work, allowing him to help clients achieve personal growth and professional fulfillment.
